Cooperative Learning Centers

Students meet with instructors within their own spiritual communities to learn the materials that lead to credentials and degrees. These centers have demonstrated leadership and depth of understanding in the New Thought community and have signed agreements with EI. Students enroll with the Cooperative Center for classes that will lead to an EI degree or certificate.  They take their classes with the Cooperative Center and pay the Cooperative Center the Cooperative Center’s fee.

When they’re ready to receive the certificate or degree, students enroll in EI by filling out the enrollment form through the EI website, paying the enrollment fee, and sending over their transcripts (from the Cooperative Center and from any other school or work that might count toward fulfilling the program’s requirements) by mail or email. Upon receipt of the enrollment forms, fee, and transcripts, EI staff will review their qualifications and issue a Letter of Review.

In most cases, the student will only need to do a final project or paper and take an exam.  If there’s any deficit in coursework to fulfill the program’s requirements, they can enroll in the necessary class(es), to be taught by an EI instructor, paying the EI course fees.  Then students submit their project or paper (with the appropriate fee) to EI for approval, after which EI will send them the final examination for the program they’ve chosen, and set up an oral panel, if that is part of program requirements.

When the written/oral examination has been completed with a passing grade, and all fees are paid, students are issued the EI degree or certificate for which they have enrolled during the ANTN Retreat at Unity Village during the first week of October. A Cooperative Center may also issue its own credential in its name, at the EI Commencement, or in a ceremony within the Center.
